Gecko Galz June 2015 Imagery and a FREE Digital Image for YOU!

Greetings dear friends! Thank you for dropping by my blog.  Today I am sharing with you a number of cards I created using some of the most recent images and background papers released in June  2015 by Gecko Galz.
Create card base with white card.  Cut Gecko Galz Portabella Road papers (03, 04) to fit card front, mat with black paper.  Layer paper doily in center.  Print Gecko Galz High Tea Icons (HT07) image, trim, mat and layer onto doily.  Add Black Viva Décor Pearls to corners.  Print Gecko Galz icon, trim and add to doily as shown.  Embellish card with buttons and black seam binding.

Make card base from white card.  Print Gecko Galz High Tea Paper (HT02), trim to fit card front and mat with black paper.  Layer white doily onto card front.  Print High Tea Stamp (HTS04), trim and water color with Towbow markers. Mat and layer over doily.  Add black pearls to corners.  Stamp sentiment (Oxford Impressions), mat and add to top of card as shown.  Print HTS (12) cupcake stamp, trim, watercolor and embellish.  Add to card front.  Finish card with a black seam binding bow.

Create card base from white card.  Cut hot press water color paper to fit card front.  Spray with Dylusion Ink Sprays.  Spritz with water.  Apply Wendy Vecchi Embossing Paste through a Tim Holtz stencil.  Print Gecko Galz image and sentiment from Stars and Stripes 2, trim and add to card front.  Add seam binding bow and gold pearls.
I hope you have enjoyed this small preview of Gecko Galz images and will visit Gecko Galz often for daily inspiration! Below is a free digital image compliments of Gecko Galz for your use!

Go Wild!

Greetings! Thank you, as always, for dropping by my blog! A huge thank you to my latest followers, as well.  My post today is for the newest challenge over at Inkspirational where we have the word prompt "Wild" this time around.
For my own card, I decided to create a card using these precious wild life images and sentiments from Crafty Individuals. The base of the card is a water color panel colorized with Bister Crystals.  The large jungle-like leaf is by Donna Downey for Unity Stamps.

I know you will be as impressed as I was at the variety of designs the talented Design Team created for your inkspiration.  We look forward to seeing what you come up with too! Hugs, Yvonne

We have more news for you.
Starting from today FSC is changing to monthly.  Each challenge will now be starting the second Sunday of the month.

For my own card, I decided to do a collage of images from FlonzCraft that reminds me of Supper Clubs of long ago!  The images are layered over a water color panel that was colorized with Dylusions Ink Sprays. The panel was matted with black paper and the images and background were sparkled with Ranger Stickles.  We cannot wait to see your own creations!  Thanks for joining us.  Hugs, Yvonne

Unity Blog Hop

Hello!  Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.  I recently was selected as the April Winner of the Unity Be Inspired Challenge over at Unity and was invited to be a Guest Artist for their next Blog Hop.

Below are the inspiration projects that I had to choose from.  As you have probably guessed, I chose the color challenge shown below!

http://www.theunitystampco-challenge.blogspot.com/

To create my card, I began by water coloring a hot press water color panel with soft shades of green and blue.  To create the clouds, I quickly blotted the sky while wet with a baby wipe.  Natalie Girl was stamped next onto scrap water color paper and was colored with TowBow Markers and then trimmed and adhered to the card panel.  The sentiment, flowers, bird and flags were also stamped onto scrap water color paper, and tinted with the same TowBow Markers and painted with a water color brush and water.  I assembled everything on the panel, matted it with black paper and added it to the front of a card base.  Simple embellishments include Viva Décor Liquid Pearls and Ranger Liquid Pearls and black and white Bakers Twine. Stamp sets used include:

    Natalie Girl - Angie 1175A
    Tiny Vintage Banners - IB-263
All Kinds of Happy - UK-764A
    Hello Birdie - UK-760A

I hope you will join us for the Unity Blog Hop which starts here.  Remember to leave a comment for a chance at the Blog Hop prize!

A Favorite Book

Greetings! It time for another new challenge over at Inkspirational!  We have a Photo Challenge this time.  You will want to stop on over and see what the rest of the design team have created to inspire you.

For my own card, I began by laying down water colors on a piece of hot press water color paper.  I dabbed the sky while wet with a baby white to create the clouds.  The flowers, by Unity, where stamped with Archival Ink and colored in with TowBow Markers.  The centers were filled in with yellow Ranger Liquid Pearls.  The little girl and sentiment are both by Artistic Outpost.  The birds are from Crafty Individuals. Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs, Yvonne

Tea and Cake

Greetings friends and thank you for dropping by my blog.  With a new month comes a new set of digital imagery from Gecko Galz! My card above features background paper from the GG High Tea Paper Pack (HT02) and digital stamps from GG High Tea Stamps (HTS04,12)! The sentiment is by Oxford Impressions.  The images were colored in with TowBow Markers.  A bit of liquid pearls for enhancement, and a seambinding bow and my card is complete.

Time Flies

Hello! My post today is for a new to me challenge called the Love to Create Challenge where the theme is " Anything Creative/Mixed Media Challenge."  My friend, Tracy Evans, inspired me to join in with her beautiful card, which you can see here.  Tracy's post encouraged me to get out my Pan Pastels and use them in a mixed media project.  I began by adding pink, yellow and blue hues of PPs to my card base.  I next stenciled with Worn Lipstick through a Tim Hotlz stencil. Then I splattered Black Dr. PH Martins India Ink.  Washi tape came next.  The focal image by Deep Red Rubber Stamps was stamped with Archival Ink.  The sentiment was a complimentary stamp from Art Journey Stamps. The stamped images were matted with black paper and splattered with water colors. I decided to tuck a bit of yellow lace and add some buttons and a bit of seam binding in homage to these beautiful old souls.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hugs, Yvonne
