Secrets of the Sea

Greetings! It seems like it has been forever since I have blogged, and almost as long since I have created art.  My husband has had some health issues, again, so my mojo and time are limited.  Any way, with the beginning of August comes a new challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu.  I am hosting this time around and pinked the challenge for the Pink Team, which is "By the Sea."  I truly love all things beachy!  I recently ordered some new images from Oxford Impressions and thought they were perfect for the new challenge.  I began by rubbing Inktense Blocks onto a water color panel and then blended them with water.  The individual images and sentiment were stamped onto tissue paper, trimmed by running a water brush around the images and then tearing the waste away.  Goldens Fluid Matte Medium was used to adhere the images.  Towbow markers were applied lightly and spread out with a water brush.  I added a few sea shells and Viva Décor Liquid Pearls to the corner, matted the panel and applied it to a card base and my card was finished.  I hope you will stop over to see the beautiful projects from the rest of the Pink Team and then consider making a project of your own to share with us! Thanks for dropping by.  Best, Yvonne

Gecko Galz July Imagery!

Greetings! Here today with cards made with new imagery by Gecko Galz for July 2015. For my first card, layer Gecko Galz imagery to a water color paper panel. Mount to black paper and then to card front.  Add button and thread. Gecko Galz Seaside Icons and Seaside Papers were used.

For my next card, I printed imagery by Gecko Galz, trimmed and added to the top of the card base as shown.  I then printed additional images and trimmed them and added them to the bottom of the card. Gecko Galz Seaside Icons and Seaside Papers were used. Shells and seam binding are from my stash.

For my final card, I started with a black paper panel and added imagery from Gecko Galz as shown.  I then embellished with small shells and a seam binding bow.  I used Gecko Galz By the Shore, Seaside Icons and Seaside Papers.

Leanne has generously offered a free image, above, for you, just for stopping by my blog! I hope you will check out the beautiful images Gecko Galz has to offer and make some beautiful seaside art! Thanks for stopping by! Yvonne

Seaside

Greetings! A bit late with my post for Inkspirational as I have been out of town and my wifi was down.  Back home and happy to have wifi back! Our challenge this time is to create a project with Kraft.  I chose to use a panel of Kraft card stock and tore up some designer paper from Gecko Galz as I thought it went well with the Kraft card.

I stamped some sentiments from Red Lead Paperworks and added a button and my card was complete.  I hope you will pop on over to see what the rest of the design team created and then submit a project of your own.  Thanks for dropping by.

The Hero

Greetings and welcome to my blog! Fashionable Stamping Challenge is back with a new challenge for you.  This time, the theme is "All About the Men." I chose to work with this set by Artistic Outpost.  I began by adding Bister crystals to a water color paper panel.  The background stamp was repeatedly stamped. The images and sentiments were stamped on scrap card, trimmed, and distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and mounted onto the panel which was then matted and added to a card base. A bit of vintage black seam binding and some gifted buttons from Unity Stamp Company and my card is complete.  I hope you will check out the rest of the samples created for your inspiration over at FSC and then make one of your own to submit. One lucky participant will earn a $20 gift voucher from our generous sponsor, FlonzCraft. Thanks for stopping by. Hugs, Yvonne

I am Woman, Hear me Roar!

Greetings and thanks for dropping by.  Sharing a canvas I finished recently.  I was in my art room perusing my stamps and decided to ink up these beauties by Dina Wakley for the first time. My eyes fell on these sentiments by Unity Stamps and I was ready to go. After gessoing my canvas, I added a number of Gelatos to the canvas.  Using my finger dipped in water I blended the colors.  I decided to mute the colors by adding a wash of gesso and water to the canvas.  The large circles are a stencil from Stencil Girl, colored with more Gelatos.  Additional marks were added with Titanium White Golden Fluid Acrylics and Ranger Archival Ink using more Dina Wakley stamps.  The drips and blobs of Aqua Ink are by Dr. PH Martin. The women were colored in with Gelatos and the sentiments and woman were all shaded with a Stabilo Pencil.  Thanks for your continued support.  Hugs, Yvonne

A Gentleman is Always That!

Greetings! Back again with a new challenge over at Inkspiration where our theme this time is "Grunge."  For my own card, I began with a water color panel, spritzed with water and some Bister. The edge of the panel was distressed and torn and then inked with Vintage Photo Distress ink. The background was stamped with Artistic Outpost images than collaged with a bit of old text.  My AO images were stamped, distressed with ink and added to the card front.  I hope you will stop over to see what the rest of the team has dreamed up to inspire you and then make a project of your own to share with us.  Thanks for stopping by.  Yvonne

Explore, Dream, Discover

Greetings friends!  Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I am sharing my creation for the Pink Team over at Eclectic Ellapu where our theme for July is "Travel."  Lots of ways to go with this one and you will not be disappointed with what the team has dreamed up to inspire you.  For my own card, I started by creating a background with Bister.  Then I selected a number of images from Crafty Individuals and Artistic Outpost that I thought went well together to create my scene.  A bit of Idea-ology gears and some copper Viva Décor Liquid Pearls and my card is complete.  We cannot wait to see what you dream up! Hugs, Yvonne
